Director / Senior Solicitor
Zara graduated with an Honours degree in Law from the University of Manchester, and with a Masters degree in Law from Georgetown University in Washington DC in 1999. She completed her apprenticeship at Johnston & Courtney Solicitors and thereafter became a partner at Glover & King. She specialises in Administration of Estates and Probate, Road Traffic Accident Claims, Family Law and Divorce.
Zara is also a registered volunteer with the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland Charity.
Gavan Holmes LL.B (Hons.)
Director / Senior Solicitor
Gavan graduated with an Honours degree in Law from Queens University Belfast in 1992. He worked in various city law firms before becoming a Partner and subsequently a Director at Glover & King.
Gavan specialises in conveyancing and is regarded as the foremost equity release solicitor in Northern Ireland, having completed the vast majority of equity release mortgages in Northern Ireland.
Carlyn Nicholl
Senior Legal Assistant and Legal Secretary
Carlyn has over 21 years experience as a legal assistant and secretary. Having initially trained and worked in a large Belfast firm, she developed a specialist interest in family and divorce work. Since joining Glover & King in 2006 she has also broadened her workload to include assisting Zara King in administration of estates, probate and claims work. These are her particular interests.
Carlyn has a wealth of experience and is often on hand to reassure and assist clients throughout the duration of their cases. She is also a critical link and liaises between clients, solicitors, barristers, experts and medical consultants.
Carlyn also assists with office administration and various office management duties.
Caroline McCracken
Legal Assistant and Legal Secretary
Caroline is a very experienced legal secretary and assistant. She began her legal career back in 1998 at Johnston and Courtney solicitors which later evolved into Glover and King solicitors.
Caroline is very adept at the process that occurs post completion and is a dynamo when it comes to registrations at Registry of Deeds and Land Registry. She also has a lot of contacts with law searchers and also within the various conveyancing institutions which can often come in useful when required.
Caroline is the friendly face at Reception who will greet you when you call to our office.
Adele Cormack
Legal Assistant
Adele has over 45 years of experience and has unrivalled experience in conveyancing. She has worked in Belfast law firms to include Paschal J. O’Hare , Higgins Hollywood Deazley ( HHD) and was with Brian Kelly Solicitors for 19 years.
Adele joined us here at Glover and King Solicitors in June 2022 . She has a very professional manner , has a wealth of knowledge and is extremely patient and understanding with clients as they are guided through the pre contract and contract stages of conveyancing.
